Santis Environmental, Inc. (SANTIS) was formed to address a recognized need in the environmental consulting industry for high quality, confidential, results-oriented services provided at reasonable rates. SANTIS is focused on developing tailored environmentally friendly solutions while eliminating the heavy overhead and layered structure of many other environmental consulting firms. Rachel and Phil Odenkirk started this company to assist their clients in a more effective and personal manner. Both Rachel and Phil achieved their Bachelor of Science in Geology from Ball State University in 1993 and continued their studies as graduate students at Western Michigan University. Phil achieved his Masters of Science degree in Geology from Western Michigan University in 1996. They went on to work with some of the top environmental consulting geotechnical firms in Arizona, Michigan, and Indiana. We have worked at both state and federal environmental sites around the U.S. This varied experience has provided a great foundation to develop Santis Environmental, Inc.

What's in the name?
We chose the name SANTIS after visiting the eastern Appenzell Alps region of Switzerland. The Santis is the highest mountain in the area and its name in French means “health”. Our goal is to consistently provide our clients with the utmost technically sound environmental assistance in order to preserve the beautiful natural conditions of the earth. We feel that keeping a beautiful setting like the Santis Mountain in the forefront of our business, we can all aspire to preserve and better the world’s natural setting and health.

SANTIS makes it a goal to solve complex environmental problems with innovative solutions. Manytimes these solutions can be complex in theory, but simple in application. Innovative solutions can often accomplish the goal with less cost than conventional methods. Santis specializes in water resource characterization and management with additional skills in environmental impact assessment, characterization, and remediation.
